It’s Friday and that means it’s time for Shaun the Bartender to step up to the plate and wow us with his expertise. This week, he has hit it out of the park with this little gem.
I am always drawn to the look of a cocktail as well as the name and this one caught my eye with it’s beauty, snagged my attention with the name and the list of ingredients sealed it. These flavors will dance in your mouth.
Silk Stockings
- 1 1/2 oz. Tequila
- 1 oz. Creme de Cacao
- 1 1/2 oz. Light Cream
- Splash of Grenadine
- Ground Cinnamon (optional)
Method: In a shaker glass filled with ice, pour in the measured amounts of tequila and creme de cacao. Add the cream and a splash of grenadine. Cap off with a shaker tin and shake well. Strain into a cold cocktail glass. Sprinkle ground cinnamon on top of the drink if you desire. In my opinion, it tends to take over the overall drink losing some of the flavor of the other ingredients. As always, this is your drink. Make it any way that you’ll enjoy it.
As with any of these cream drinks, the liquor flavor is masked. Be sure to watch the speed you’ll be enjoying the beverage. Don’t let the flavor fool you to believe you can double your intake. Be safe and enjoy!
