Food Network is on the hunt for Grandmothers to battle it out in a fun cooking throw down!
If you or your favorite grandmother whips up a magnificent signature dish, from tasty entrees to delectable desserts, Food Network wants to hear from you.
The most delicious network on television is looking for the wit of Betty White and the skills of Betty Crocker. This is your chance to prove that your favorite recipes can stand the test of time.
Now Casting: “Clash of The Grandmas,” a cooking competition show looking for fun, vivacious grandmothers to battle it out in a fun cooking throw down for the Food Network. Casting producer states: “Four grandmas enter, but only one will emerge as champion in Clash of the Grandmas. Whatever grandma says or does is culinary law, and in this competition, four grandma super-cooks will prove they have what it takes to put together the most delicious meal imaginable. Our judges will determine which granny’s comfort food is worth $10,000.
To nominate a grandma that you know or to apply for the show, email grandmothercasting@leg-corp.com with location (city, state) in the subject line and include the following:
1.) Your and/or your nominee’s name,
2.) Contact info for you and/or nominee (phone number, email address),
3.) Your or nominee’s occupation (or former occupation, if retired),
4.) Your or nominee’s location (city/state),
5.) Description of you or your nominee’s cooking or chef experience, cooking style, signature dishes and why you believe that you or your nominee would be perfect for this show!
6.) Attach photos of you/nominated grandma (including photos with the kids and/or grandkids and photos of her food if possible)
What we know so far:
The first episode will likely air in November and specific judges have not yet been confirmed.
One-hour competition
Applicants should have their own “signature dishes” – something they do better than anyone with their own special twist! Family favorites, family recipes, innovative new dishes – all should apply!
